About the Human People

Humans occupy a unique position among the peoples of Mythica. Where other races are shaped by a single elemental affinity — their bodies, cultures, and even architecture bearing the mark of a single primal force — Humans carry no such alignment. They are the world's generalists, born with the capacity to engage with all six forms of magic, none dominant and none refused. This openness is both their great strength and the source of their restless nature.

Human settlements appear everywhere on the Vaelorian continent. From the coast-carved trading ports of the south to the caravan cities that drift with the seasons, Humans have built a presence in almost every terrain type. Their architecture changes constantly — stone cities in stable regions, tent-cities and wagon towns wherever permanence is impractical — reflecting a deep cultural comfort with motion and change.

Scroll summoning is the human tradition: a written invocation combined with a spoken command. Unlike the instinctive, embodied summoning methods of other races, the scroll method requires study and preparation. It has made Humans the world's great scholars of summoning theory, and their cross-cultural schools — which welcome students of any race — have shaped magical practice across Vaeloria for generations.
